Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott won the 2015 NFL MVP award on Sunday, beating out Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith for the honor.
Prescott’s 37-yard touchdown pass to Dez Bryant with 12:38 remaining put the Cowboys up by 20 points with 9:36 left in the fourth quarter.
Bryant’s fourth-quarter interception gave the Chiefs a 21-17 lead.
The Cowboys took control with Prescott on the field, running the clock down and finding Bryant in space.
He caught the ball on the move and lofted it to Bryant, who ran a nifty, underthrown pass to wide receiver Dez White.
Prescott beat out Smith by five touchdowns to win the award.
Prescott also won a special-teams award.
He was named MVP of the game in 2015.
Prescott was named the NFL’s MVP after leading the Cowboys to a 17-3 record and three AFC West titles in his first two seasons with Dallas.
